We have learned with deep sorrow that according to initial reports, eight people lost their lives and many were injured as a result of the bomb attack perpetrated against a Police Training Center in the Pakistani city of Lahore today (February 17th).

We strongly condemn this heinous attack. We wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives, convey our condolences to their families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Turkey will continue to stand by the friendly and brotherly Pakistan and its people in their fight against terrorism as it has been the case so far.
