We have learned with sorrow that according to the preliminary reports 17 people were killed and at least 30 wounded in a terrorist attack perpetrated in Nahravan district of Baghdad. We convey our condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Iraq, wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded.

We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack. Such attacks, perpetrated at a time when Iraq is making significant strides in the fight against terrorism, will not hinder efforts to attain social peace in Iraq.

Turkey will resolutely continue its support to Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
